LIVIDITY BIO Summer 2001
LIVIDITY began as a 1 man project in mid 1993 by Dave Kibler of central Illinois with the sole purpose of creating original music full of hate, lust, and barbarity!! With no luck in finding dedicated or serious musicians with the same mindset, a 4 track Yamaha recorder and drum machine was purchased to unleash hate that was brewing inside!
Mid '94 the debut promo release containing 3 tracks had included Altar Pieces, Mortal Impalement and Spewing Chunks!! Ciculating locally at gigs, through international zines and a few underground friends, hoping it would create something special and help LIVIDITY take off in the right direction, despiten the raw sound!
In Autumn '94, Tommy Davis began jamming and playing drums and lead vocals while Dave played guitar, bass and backing vocals! The first dismembering song was written, Graveyard Delicacy, shortly followed by tunes like Immortal Impact, Process Of Disembowelment, Feasting On Mankind, The Urge To Splurge and Food! In early '95 the "Ritual Of Mortal Impalement" 9 song rehearsal demo was released, still on 4 track method in Tommy's attic!! That same year, 6 songs from that demo was placed on the LIVIDITY / MORGUE FETUS split cassette!!
Spring 1995. local ragers, DESECRATION from Champaign, Illinois broke up and Matt Bishop (guitar / backing vocals) and Aaron Heath (bass / vocals) joined to complete the bands line up... "Oh Shit!! You know what that means!!" It's time to play some shows!! The first gig was Aug. 5, '95 opening for DYING FETUS and DEADEN in Champaign, IL.! There was only 4 songs complete that would have LIVIDITY on and off the stage at approximately 10 minutes time! 4 songs were wrote and went to private studios in Champaign to cut "Rejoice In Morbidity" that was released as a demo in Spring '96 through Polish label, Immortal Records!
Aaron quit the band in '96, Avatar bassist, Mike Smith (Decatur, Illinois) was recruited and Matt moved to lead vocals! Went to Sinewave Studios in Bloomington, IL. to record 11 song onslaught, "Fetish For The Sick" '97, that was released on CD format through Ohio based label, Ablated Records! This proved to step LIVIDITY up another level that has helped the band land many gigs and has circulated nearly 7000 copies to this point! So, the band has a theme going unmatched... "It's not about Satan, it's about Pussy!!" we are the pussy lovers of the underground and damn proud of it!!
Tommy left in Oct. '97 following our gig in Kenosha, Wisconsin with Evil Incarnate, was replaced by Waco Jesus / Pissed Midgets drummer, Nick Null (Pekin, IL.)!! During the writing process we released "Show Us Your Tits-Live" '99 through United Guttural Records (Illinois)! Same recording was released on cassette through a Latvia DIY label, Maniacal Brutality Productions with different cover! LIVIDITY had set up their first Europe dates independantely and through FLESHLESS (Cz) that slayed through Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia!! We entered Private Studios once again to record the CD "The Age Of Clitoral Decay" through United Guttural Rec. 2000!! That was licensed to Erebos Productions (Slk) and to Extreme Souls Productions (Indonesia) for the Asian cassette format!! In 16 months time, there has been 5000 pieces circulated! 3 songs from the recording was placed on the LIVIDITY / PROFANITY split 7" vinyl through Cudgel Agency (Ger), 1000 copies sold out in 3 - 4 months time!!
LIVIDITY had a tragedy that took the life of good friend Nick Null, "You will be forever missed my brother!!" We are now jamming heavily with drummer James Whitehurst from Peoria, Illinois area and after the departure of Mike Smith we have regrouped with fellow bassist, Aaron Heath!! LIVIDITY

April 9, '01 brings us the CDR version of "LIVIDITY Lets One Live In WEFT" with 6 trax live and interviewing craziness (51 min.)!!
June 2001 brings us the 2 album signing with Morbid Records that will prove to excell beyond any material we have set forth to date, so stay tuned and continue to support the bands that support the scene!!
