So now it`s about time to offer a proper portion of goodies as an encore to the death metal community. „Repulsion" - as the acoustic attack is named - shows POSTMORTEM as a - in the sense of songwriting - developed formation, who are able to interpret Death Metal as catchy and multilateral. On the other hand the metropolitans push on to new dimensions of aggression and vehemence. Those songdelicacies are explosive and violent, what turns „Repulsion" into an essential for the scene, the more so POSTMORTEM of the year 1998 stand for a fine balance of simple old school thrash and first rate melodies of the late nineties.

The guys from Berlin gained their first laurels in May 1992, winning the Ludwigshafen Underground competition, where besides others also Pyogenesis participated. A little later the second demo „Last Aid to Die" appeared, which sold 1500 times. In 1993 POSTMORTEM signed their first contract. The debut album „Screams of Blackness", produced by Harris Johns, came out, which now is republished by Morbid Records/SPV, including bonus titles.The guys signed up with Morbid Records in 1996, the MCD „Der Totmacher" followed. Early in 1997 a second LP „The Age Of Massmurder" appeared, which acheived good selling quotes for band and label, but in turn brought a whole bunch of quarrel with all kinds of moralists who were put out about the title of the album.

By far more than 200 live appearances have been accomplished by the quartet, together with Morbid Angel, Rammstein, Cradle of Filth, Atrocity, Crematory, In Flames and Sodom to name a few. This year`s Wacken Open Air showed a formidable performance of POSTMORTEM. In 1998 the Berlin band will come over Eastern Europe and again make Germany`s stages tremble. More over did the Berlin Soccer club „1. FC Union" ask them to write a new club hymn. Soccer goes Death Metal? Who knows. Those Prussians always have a surprise in petto.
