Now the time is at hand to pay tribute to one of Germany´s top Death metal acts: the North German Death Metal foundry releases "Cold Blooded Murder", the most musically advanced output to date and simply their over-all best record. Obscenity cast their hellishly hot steel into skillfully manufactured moulds, which later give way to steady and mighty soundsculptures of timeless morbid beauty. Highly melodic intricate guitar soloing has been added lately, which suits the music just fine. Of course the successful predecessor "Intense" was nothing less than terrific, but "Cold Blooded Murder" shows Obscenity as a technically well-versed outfit, that swings the club with astonishing intelligence, hitting the willing victims with determination and enormous self-esteem. Said victims stagger around with a stupid happy grin on their faces when direct hits like the technical masterpiece "The Arrival" or the rude "My Dark One" make their heads bang ecstatically. Obscenity´s new songs seem to detonate in their ears - leaving many damaged eardrums in their wake.
