OBSCENITY

BANDINFO:
The fourth album of the Oldenburg Death Metallists offersfirst class Old School Death Metal with special effects. Cool riffs, engraving on people`s minds and hearts, crazy growling as well as suspense and drive in each song - these are the gratifying characteristics of this release. That`s the sound that appears ultra-modern, even when Death Metal is no trend.

The band was founded in 1989 and in 1991 their first demo "Age Of Brutality" was recorded. Underground and all the appropriate magazines were full of enthusiasm. The 2.000 tapes which were sold speak for themselves. One must take into account that in the history of Death Metal music there have been several bands that were promoted as a sensation after they had sold 150 tapes, but then a band was a complete flop.

The large amount of positive criticism forced some labels to get in contact with the band. A bit latter OBSCENITY signed a contract with West Virginia Records, and their debut album "Suffocated Truth" was released.

But because West Virginia Records vanished in thin air in the middle of 1993, the band recorded another demo - "Amputated Souls" - in the studio. In 1994 the Oldenburg Deather signed a contract with D&S Records to release their second album "Perversion Mankind".

The large number of concerts with Cannibal Corpse, Benediction, Death, Sinister, Atrocity,Messiah,Aggressor... demonstrated that OBSCENITY are equal to international competition in every way.

In February 1996 the band signed a contract with Morbid Records, and the album "The 3rd Chapter" was released. This disc exceeded all expectations, thus it is a highlight of uncompromising Death Metal. Special Magazines got rather carried away and the 100 interviews speak for themselves. OBSCENITY prove to be a reliable constant in German Death Metal, which is only few and far between.

Now, about 18 months later, at last it´s time for "Human Barbecue". Dear fans of these uncontrolled fireworks of sounds: Give your boxes what they need.
